Dental Implants

A permanent, natural-looking replacement for missing teeth. Dental implants preserve your jawbone, protect adjacent teeth, and restore full chewing function.

The Gold Standard for Missing Teeth

A dental implant is a small titanium post that is placed into the jawbone where a tooth is missing. Over time, the bone fuses with the titanium in a process called osseointegration, creating a rock-solid foundation for a custom crown, bridge, or denture.

Unlike bridges, implants do not require grinding down adjacent healthy teeth. And unlike dentures, they do not slip, click, or require adhesives. Dental implants look, feel, and function like your own natural teeth.

Benefits of Dental Implants

  • Permanent solution that can last a lifetime with proper care
  • Natural appearance that is indistinguishable from real teeth
  • Preserves jawbone by providing the stimulation bone needs to maintain density
  • No damage to adjacent teeth unlike traditional bridges
  • Improved chewing and speaking compared to dentures
  • Prevents facial sagging that occurs when bone loss goes untreated after tooth loss

The Implant Process

  1. Consultation and imaging: We evaluate your jawbone density, gum health, and overall suitability for implants
  2. Surgical placement: The titanium post is placed into the jawbone under local anesthesia or sedation
  3. Healing and integration: Over 3 to 6 months, the bone fuses with the implant
  4. Restoration: A custom crown, bridge, or denture is attached to the implant

In select cases, Dr. Wassef can perform same-day implant and crown placement, giving you a complete tooth in a single visit.
